These are based on the original formulas developed at Guadalupe Custom Strings but with some small tweaks that I find work best. Personally, the Tenor Ukulele, is my favorite size in that tuning. The tension is perfect and the strings are responsive, sonorous, and percussive.. I've recently sourced the original material used by Francisco Gonzalez and the result is a tightly wound string with crisp sound and feel.
Available in Candy Stripe or Multicolor in both Low G (GCEA) featuring a silvered copper wound 4th string and re-entrant (gCEA).
The groundbreaking Baritone Ukulele String that has no equal. The original set designed by Francisco Gonzalez was tuned to DGBE, as most Baritone Ukulele were tuned. Within the last decade, we noted a huge demand for string sets for tuning a Baritone Ukulele to GCEA one octave below Tenor. With some help from a good friend and his vintage Martin and Gibson Baritone Ukes from the early 20th century we were able to come up with a balanced and sonorous fibrecore string set wrapped in nylon and silver.
These are produced under the Guadalupe Custom String brand name, by Gabriel Tenorio (as they have been for the last 4 years)
